Bush House: Bush House

Published on 09:36am 11/17/2008 by arnolp04

In a city full of beautiful buildings, I feel that Bush House on the Strand gets a little overlooked by visitors to London. It may not be as famous as Buckingham Palace or the Tower of London, but it's a glorious spectacle, especially when it is lit up at night.

Its imposing front entrance towers over Kingsway in Holborn. The building is currently the home of the BBC World Service and as it's a working building I don't think it accommodates members of the public.

If you want to see just what an arresting sight it is, come out of Holborn tube station, turn left and walk straight down Kingsway. You can't miss it - a pleasant view to take in on your way to Covent Garden.
