If you are on a budget, this is a great hostel to stay at. For one night in a dorm room the cost is only $23 per night. Dorms are separated also by genders. What I liked is that each room has at most 4 people. I am used to sleeping in hostels with up to 10 people per room which ends up being an atmosphere that is hard to sleep in.
Come here early and ask for a break, the hotel rents bikes out and it is one of the quickest ways to get around the area. Riding to the center of Florence from here is going to be quite a journey. They are located some 38 kilometers from the city center, meaning a possible 4 hour bike ride or having to take the bus to center everyday.
Despite the large distance from the center, I still like this hostel. Everyday when I woke up I could expect a free breakfast. When I wanted to relax, there is a pool that is only some 300 meters away.
If you are looking for city life, I would not recommend this hostel, but if you want some peace and quiet during your travels, then by all means stay at this hostel.
