The Catacombes are one of the coolest (probably for all the wrong reasons) things I have seen. Absolutely eye-opening. To see so many human bones, and all in the one place, was a totally unique experience. It was also an experience that was very different to all the monuments, statues and other tourist attractions in this city. Not only that, unlike many other things in Paris, they are relatively inexpensive to view. Definitely worth checking out.
