The collection of whisky bottles that strikes you as you enter the Ben Nevis pub on Argyle St is quite staggering, and I dread to think how many livers you would get through sampling them all. I would argue that the Ben Nevis is Glasgow's (or at the very least the West End's) foremost whisky bar. It has a great atmosphere and old time charm that is quirkily out of it's location in a fairly grimy area.

The other thing the Ben Nevis is greatly respected for is it's live folk music, which I think takes place about three or four nights out of the week and is a great way to sample some traditional Scottish flavour. It also serves food, which unfortunately I've yet to sample.
