Barceloneta
Barceloneta is a district within the city of Barcelona and is a hip, trendy and sandy fishing and sailing district where you can go if you want to check out the beaches or try one of the dishes in the very popular fish and seafood restaurants. Barceloneta dates back to 18th century when the residents of Ribera district who had to move out due to the construction of Ciudadela de Barcelona. Barceloneta will lead you up to the Olympic Village where the athletes stayed during the Summer Olympic games.
