St. Veronica is a very old church in Lago Maggiore, Italy. It was built in the late 12th century. One thing that makes St. Veronica very special is the located. It is situated on the top of a mountain. So, you need to walk a little bit to reach the church. There are only two ways to go there or come back, so you can experience both ways.
As I know they don’t serve masses anymore or open it for public. You can only see the surrounding and the view from St. Veronica. But they open a small window (really small, as big as your two palms) and you can peep through.
Chiesa St. Veronica is one of the very popular churches in Lago Maggiore, so don’t be surprised if you meet a lot of tourists there and they will greet you in Italian.
