In Lodz you have two beautiful sights to visit. One is a castle and the other is a palace. Although the latter sounds better, the Goluchow Castle has a more powerful historic background and so perhaps you have heard of Viollet-le-Duc, the French architect, who helped designing the monument. Also you may have visited Limoges where the French craft all sorts of vases in enamel. The Izrael Poznanski Palace would be the second place to visit during your stay here. It is not as spectacular as the first but it sure is imposing. Its courtyard is certainly worth seeing.
