Buzzy capital of Yucatan
Merida being Yucatan´s capital city was not surprisingly busy and crowded. It was a great place for shopping and a great area to enjoy lively restaurants. Mérida being a larger city did not have that Colonial Spanish look in its totally that you find in smaller towns but on the bright side I really liked its buzzing streets and colorful houses. There were a few museums here but we just stayed in Merida for its convenient location nearby the ancient Mayan sites. If are visiting Yucatan I will not lodge here for a long time.
