Transport in Murcia
Murcia is not a big town, so walking can also be seen as a means of transportation all throughout the town. You can probably reach the edges of the town within 70-80 min on foot. But you needn’t worry, because they have a good bus system. There are plenty of buses that take you to all of Murcia’s areas and they are pretty punctual. The only problem is that they don’t work till late at night, which may be a bit uncovenient, because finding a taxi in Murcia may also be a problem. I personally haven’t seen many taxis and one night, when we really needed one to go from the disco to where my friend lived, it was impossible to find one. It was very late, so maybe that’s why.

Cathedral of Santa Maria
The cathedral of Santa Maria is dfinitely the main tourist attraction in Murcia. I was really overwhelmed by its architectural complexity and its lovely decorations. The cathderal can the found in the lovely Plaza del Cardinal Belluga, which is also a nice place to see. What stunned me about the cathderal was that it has many entrances, but they all take you to the main part of the cathedral, the Capilla Mayor. The cathedral also hosts a musem, which I also recommend visiting, as it explains a lot about the cathedral and the city around the time the cathedral was built.
