Spanish Heritage Homes in Silay
A good pal of mine has family in the town right beside Bacolod City, called Silay. Silay is a heritage town, made of homes that have been built in the 19th Century during the colonial Spanish time in Philippine history. Everywhere you turn the sleepy town is quaint showing how middle class Filipino-Spanish families lived in those times--there are the classic wooden carved windows, two story homes with space on the ground floor for carriages (and horses in the distant past).
