Fortress Lookout of Nyergesujfalu 5 stars
This bushy area once was a fortress as the history told by the elders in Nyergesujfalu, but as a child, me and a couple of friends would come up there and ran here and there when it was actually kind of dangerous as the hill is somewhat high from the ground below; at the edge of the hill, when you look down, you will see the road and the traffics below it, somewhat scary.

This is another lookout place in Nyergesujfalu, and the view from up here is really breathtaking. You can see the town and the houses appear tiny, and of course, you can see the beautiful sunset or sunrise on the stream of the Duna (Danube River). The landscape seen from this lookout is also amazing.

The hilly parts of this lookout are the so-called fortress wall; but of course, it is hidden under the earth that we step on. If I am not mistaken, years ago, someone dug up deep the area and found stone pieces of the fortress.

Here, at this ‘fortress’ lookout, you will find the unfinished church foundation; and not too far from the foundation, stand still Jesus statue on a cross. If you have the time, climb up the hill and have picnic there, it is very, very nice up there, this I can assure you. You can even see the old cement factory of Labatlan from this lookout :)
