Pompeii
We would like to travel from Rome to Naples, spend the night in a hotel , see Pompeii a day, then spend another night, see Ischia, get the train to Florence. Can anyone recommend how to handle these logistics?
Thank you

Pompei, a journey back in time
0 of 1 people found this review helpful
Pompei, close to Naples, is the most evocative and impressive archeological site to explore in the Italian national heritage that shows no sign of cooling.
At the slopes of the volcano Vesuvio, the city was the hub of the commerce in the Roman Times. It was destroyed by its biggest eruption in 79 AC, when a blazing flow of lava erased every form of life.
However, the lava preserved the ancient city and today we are able to see it exactly how it was at the moment of the tragedy.
A walk through Pompei’s streets will make you step back in time and visit the luxurious villas filled with frescos and fountains.
Offbeat and without taboos, as it was a short stop for merchants, the city is studded with brothels and the bars.
Pompei is a stop of the train Circumvesuviana.
