Kriz
Another great hiking route that takes a lot longer if you starting from the center of Malinska is the one that will take you to Kriz.
Once you get to Porat marina this route will take you pass the monastery, the church and up the hill through the woods, but don’t worry there are signs to show you the way and there is a pathway so you cannot really get lost. But if you are worried once you start climbing up the hill left side –dry dock, left side – olive trees, right side – small gate to the stations of the Cross or Kriz (if you start from Porat it will take less then 45 minutes).
Once you climb up to the top of the hill there is a huge cruxificition that was built by a local man who had a near fatal accident in the local woods and because he stayed alive this is what he built. The view from the top of the hill is spectacular truly the best I have seen on all of Krk.
