Port Douglas – Much Ado About Nothing
In terms of places I wanted to visit in Australia, the town of Port Douglas in Far North Queensland had long been at the top of my list. Somehow, I had developed this vision in my head of an isolated, exquisite, tropical paradise that just kept beckoning me to experience it. To give it its due, the town is certainly not unattractive. It is, however, so dull and boring that it will take less than a day to struggle to find something to see or do. Attractions are extremely thin on the ground.
