Potsdam
Potsdam is a wonderful town very close to the German capital Berlin, probably the best choice for a day-trip from the capital. Here is the place where the main palaces of the Prussian kings and later German emperors are situated. The city itself is also a very nice place having some wonderful old streets, nice old town hall, beautiful University building and an unusual town church. This is the city where the famous Potsdam conference was held (in the palace Cecilienhof in 1945, where the future of Germany was decided. [more] |
