Bamberg
Bamberg is one of the greatest cities in Germany. The whole place is declared an UNESCO world-heritage site and the reason for that is obvious – it is so full of historical objects. Of course among the most famous are the unique Bamberg town hall and the famous Cathedral but there are also thousands of other great places - a large Baroque abbey on the hill above the town, the small Venice – a part of the city with many channels, the two palaces called Residenz and the great square between them, the other great square of the market and many many others. This city is really worth visiting.

Bamberg
When I went to Bamberg I started my tour from the Domplatz (Cathedral Plaza) since it is like in Köln, the Domplatz is the nicest place of the city.
In the plaza there is also the old Palace.
Bamberg is a very nice old city which is exceptional for all the art it has to offer, that is why Bamberg was also considered as a World Heritage by UNESCO.
Some other things that you can visit while in Bamberg is the Neue Residenz which has beautiful rose gardens. I loved the architecture of the place and its buildings, especially the houses that are next to the river. It looks like Venice.
If you go to Bamberg I strongly recommend you try the local beer which is called Rauchbier.

Bamberg
Before visiting here, its important to know why its on the Unesco list of world heritage sites. The whole town has been able to keep its medieval look since it was ruled by a king and during the Second World War the town avoided damage leaving the town with completely original fixtures and buildings. One of the most important sites that I saw here was the Cathedral which was built in the 12th century. Here its possible to see the graves of Henry II and Pope Clement II. One of the best statue carvings here is the horse statue which is over 800 years old. Besides for this great statue another stone creation in the Cathedral is the large marble tomb which holds two bodies, the founder and his empress wife.
Many sites here are just beautiful. Even the Rathaus has been beautiful constructed on an artificial island that is located on the Obere bridge. Its something I haven’t seen anywhere else in Germany. If you are a fan of beer, come check out Bamberg’s famous smoked beer and can be deliciously at the Heller brewery.
Also here is Bamberg's University which is the reason that there are so many students running around everywhere. I noticed this mainly in the Heller brewery.
