Australia - Tasmania - Nelson Falls
Nelson Falls are in my opinion the nicest falls in that area. They are passed Queenstown just inside Cradle Mountain National Park. It's a nice easy 20 minute walk to get to them which is pretty much flat the whole way and the falls are particularly pretty after it's been raining. There's a boardwalk viewing platform at the bottom that allows you to get nice and close (and nice and wet!! Bring a rain mac). If you don't want to get wet, you can still walk down and get a good look from a little bit further back. I visited quite a few waterfalls in the National Parks of Tasmania and this was definitely my fave. [more] |
