The smallest big city ever
Reykjavik was the first place I ever visited in Iceland, and it opened my eyes to the wonder of this tiny nation. It's the country's largest city as well as the capital, but in a land where the population of the entire country is less than a million, "big city" is a relative term. It's really nice to walk down the streets of the capital and not feel like all the people are packed in next to each other. There's room to breathe, and I think that lends greatly to Reykjavik's relaxed sense of energy.
