Salou
Salou is in Cataluyna in Spain on the Costa Dorada and has been a popular beach resort for many decades. It has got good connections by train to Tarragona (11km away) and Barcelona. The main attraction of the area is the Portaventura theme park (see separate review) and Caribe Aquatic Park. See www.portaventura.es for more information about the theme park which you must visit if you are in the area. There did not seem to be much in Salou itself (although we were there at the very start of the season).
