San Giuliano Restaurant, St Julian
The San Giuliano is situated on the top floor of a building overlooking St Julian's Bay. While the Italian style menu is extensive, the seafood (their speciality) fresh, and the food generally good, it's really the ambience that set San Giuliano apart. Set on a covered balcony, you can enjoy the sense of being 'al fresco' all year round, with accompanying views but no concerns over the weather. In winter, the transparant walls come down, while in summer you enjoy balmy Mediterranean breezes while you eat. The view is a delight. During the day you can watch colourful fishing boats bob in the harbour, while at night the lights glitter on the water.
Although I've occasionally found the food a little hit and miss it's more ofen a resounding hit, and couple it with efficient service and such a splendid setting, and you're sure to have a terrific evening.
