Schaerding
Schaerding is a nice baroque town in Upper Austria on the Inn river just across the border with Germany. The town, for which I didn’t have any expectations impressed me in may ways. First of all it is called the ‘most baroque’ town in Austria and there is a reason for that. The two main squares both look very beautiful and have rows of similar, typical for the city but differently painted facades all around them. There is also a castle hill, where once stood a mighty castle, but currently there are mostly some nice gardens. And also a big and beautiful baroque parish church. Currently, there is also some strange event taking place in Schaerding and there are erected monuments of the 7 Wonders of the world all around the old town, and the monuments look quite big and realistic.
