The Diamond House was interesting styled both in terms of room design and the open areas. The hotel is a small 3 star establishment and I found the rooms to be above average considering the rating....

A walk around the food stalls nestled around Soi 7 marked the end of another long day, and I headed back to my hotel for a well deserved night's sleep. The following morning I woke up early, and incredibly, on time! I made my way back to the Bangkok’s International airport whereupon I was able...

I stayed at the Quality Suites hotel which was quite near to the airport, and this place provided me with an absolutely huge suite, comprising 2 bedrooms, a lounge and a large bathroom. The location was quite far from the centre of town, and in any case I was fairly tired, so I just went out to a...

With this decision I ushered the driver out and in to the back of the taxi and with some sign language indicated that I would take the wheel. Actually this was not a sensible option as if there was an accident I would be responsible, however at the time I was more concerned with avoiding what I...

There were also return flights back from Samui directly to Bangkok airport and so it seemed as long as I could get to Pattaya I would be able to enjoy my much anticipated Koh Samui holiday. I booked the two flights and left the airport. The plan had changed, but not by much and so I was now...

I was just about to leave the office, sad and dejected, when I remembered that Bangkok Airways not only operated a Bangkok to Koh Samui flight but also had flights departing from an airport close to Pattaya, an tourist area only 2 hours drive from Bangkok. The Airport was called Utupoa Airport...

Bangkok Airways was the small airline that provided flights that connected Bangkok to Koh Samui, and so I headed to their office in order to see what was available. Sure enough all flights were full, and so I was unable to get a flight on that day. Worse, was that all flights for the entire week...

Solve the argument about whether different countries have different sized condoms by visiting one of the world's largest collections at Bangkok's Cabbages and Condoms eatery. This fairy-light restaurant is twinkling with cheek. It was created to support the work of the Population and Community...

One of the most romantic places to take your beau in Bangkok is to see the sun setting over the Temple of the Dawn. Wat Arun on the banks of the Chayo Praya River is one of the most spectacular examples of Khmer architecture in the city. Most people make a bee-line for it, but why not see it from...

When my friend said she'd get me over my fear of dead people, I didn't think for one minute she'd take me to see pickled mass murderers, babies gone wrong and an enormous testicle taken from a man with elephantitus. But she did. And now I have a problem trusting anyone from Denmark.
