Sibiu-European capital of culture
Since Romania became a member of the European Union, Sibiu became also the cultural capital of Europe. In my opinion, Sibiu is one of the most beautiful towns in Romania. Its old buildings, along with the large number of museums, historical monuments and also fun places makes it one of the best places in Romania. I also noticed that Sibiu is not an agitated city but a warm one with pleasant people ready to give you a hand when you really need it. I loved the central square where all the festivals take place. I don’t think Sibiu became the center of attention of all the people just because it is the cultural capital of Europe. Sibiu was always a great city, host of unique events in Romania. [more] |
