Soest
Except the churches, Soest also has very long and pleasant pedestrian streets full of people and shops. The city looks very lively and is a wonderful place to spend some hours away from the big industrial cities of central Westphalia. The city is very calm and relaxing place and I just enjoyed the streets and houses walking slow among them. Most of the houses are very beautiful typical German houses (Fachwerkhauser) which create a wonderful medieval atmosphere. Having also some preserved parts of the medieval fortifications, Soest looks like a really old city coming from the Middle ages or from some fairy tale (especially when one consider the churches).
