Steyr
Steyr is a wonderful small town in Upper Austria, situated on the banks of the rivers Enns and Steyr. The city is, in my view one of the most beautiful in Austria. The town has one of the greatest old towns I have ever seen. First of all is the picturesque position on the edge between the two rivers. Second – the main square with so many old houses among which one can see the nicest Rococo town hall in Austria (that was written in the brochure from the TI center, but I really believe it). Then – the great parish church, and also the baroque Dominican and Michael churches and the medieval castle with the castle gardens behind it and the castle promenade around it. [more] |
