Mount Bromo Volcano
Mount Bromo is located pretty close to Surabaya on the eastern point of Java, and bonus - you don’t have to do any climbing too experience this volcano! You can drive right up to the top where is there is also parking. At the top there is a big crater mud pool that bubbles, plus, as to be expected in Indonesia – loads of hawkers! There are various bits of the volcano that you can walk to as there are a few different craters all in one place. About a ten minutes walk away (the route is sign posted) there is a crater with loads of sulphuric crystals and hot bubbling water pools that you can cook eggs in (yes, there are eggs for sale there!) I have been to one other volcano but this one was much better.
