Tarragona is a great place to visit and combines modern architecture and ancient buildings. There are many historical highlights in the town. What is really worth seeing are the ancient walls, which date from before the roman empire. There used to be a great amphiteatre near the sea, but only little of it still remains. It’s nice to see anyway, as it makes you understand more about how people used to have fun in those times. In the town there is also a very old aqueduct, which is huge and a great highlight of Tarragona. What really impressed me were the many inscriptions in ancient languages, like Latin and Phoenician.
