Terrassa is a big town situated in the suburbs of Barcelona. The town is very busy and has a few good attractions, but I couldn’t call it the best place for a day trip from Barcelona. Anyway if you have visited everything and still have a few free hours and money, but not enough for a trip to Girona or Tarragona – this is a good place to be. The main attraction of Terrassa is the small castle on a hill above the river in the Eastern part of the town, looking very old and not beautiful at all, looking more like a pile of stones than a castle. Around it there are several statues of hippopotamuses which were very interesting for me. The town hall and the central streets are quite nice and all the shops are much cheaper than those in Barcelona.
