Lido, El Pareton
In El Pareton, just outside Totana and a short drive down the motorway is a fantastic lido, or open air pool complex. We were told about it by friends, and it has to be seen to be believed. Follow the signs in Pareton for the "polideportivo" and you will come to the school (colegio). In the grounds is the lido. A full sized pool plus a kids pool, shady umbrellas, cafe and sun loungers, and for the whole family the entrance fee was only about 7 euros. It´s very quiet here, so you can get a real swim, and at times my family were the only ones there! There is a lifeguard and pool attendant and it is a great alternative to the beach on really hot days. [more] |
