Traun is a small city to the south of Linz. I knew that there was a castle and I decided to visit it for two late afternoon hours but it was a great mistake. This town has absolutely nothing to offer to any tourist, there is nothing worth visiting at all, and nothing even captured my attention. The castle is simple and not nice at all, there is a normal church, neither big, nor old nor beautiful, no pedestrian area at all. In the night everything looks even uglier and there are not very good street lights on the way to the station. And every shop in the town closes at 5 or 6 pm, so after 6 when it gets dark the whole town is like dead and pretty scary.
