Candolim
I went here with my girlfriend for a two-week beach break. It was kind of weird because we both want to travel properly around India at some point and I think we both got itchy feet and wanted to explore more while we were here. You see, Candolim isn't exactly proper India. We're not naive enough to have expected a truly 'authentic' India experience (though I did pick up the popular Delhi belly while I was there!) but it is a very strange mix of Westerners on cheap package holidays (us) only just masking the poverty of the locals.
