Twillingate Icebergs 5 stars
The Twillingate Islands area in the north of Newfoundland is one of the best locations to spot icebergs which calf off the glaciers of Greenland and appear in the waters here during the Spring and Summer months.

The best way to experience the icebergs is abroad a boat tour and Twillingate Island Boat tours is the main operator with three trips a day. Orca whales are also often seen in the waters here.

A small art gallery has some stunning photographs of the ice giants as well.

If you’re prone to seasickness then head out to Long Point Lighthouse which is a good vantage point for spotting icebergs from land. If he is at home then the lighthouse keeper, if asked politely, might let you climb to the top of the beacon!
