Hostel Review: Nick's Homestay

Nick's Homestay is quite far away from the town centre but it was the most beautiful place we have stayed in and everyone was really friendly and helpful.

Restaurant Review: Kafe

I went to Kafe in Ubud in order to enjoy their burgers as they looked very enticing indeed. However that was not all that this rather cute establishment had on offer. Indeed, the menu had plenty of... [more]

Last year was the latest time I visited Bali. Usually Bali was always Kuta, Sanur, Seminyak ... but that time, with my husband, we decided to visit Ubud for it's traditional dances, wood crafting and of course the paddy fields (and volcanoes-- especially Mount Agung and Kintamani!).

Travel Tip: Ubud

If you want to do some decent shopping for crafts while you're in Bali, Ubud is definitely the place to come. There is street after street of shops selling all kinds of handicrafts - from useless tat, to amazing pieces of art and jewelery. Now, I'm not one for shopping normally - I tend to get... [more]

Travel Tip: Ubud

If you are in or near Ubud, there is a pretty cool temple not to far away, just on the outskirts of Ubud. You will need to have the top of your arms covered and knees covered too, but they have sarongs that you can borrow if you aren’t wearing the right clothes, the sarongs make you look like... [more]

Visiting Ubud 3 stars
Travel Tip: Ubud

Ubud is a much nicer area of Bali that Kuta, although it is fairly small and a bit boring but nice for a day trip, I don't think that you would need much more than that (mind you I do get bored pretty easily!). You can see monkeys in the park at Monkey Forest and they are also often out in the... [more]

Travel Tip: Ubud

The year of 2004 was the very first time that I traveled to Bali, Indonesia, with my husband. We stayed there for a week long at Yan’s Beach Bungalows (well this is how their hotel’ receipt says, but the sign that we read at the place was Yan’s Café), just a couple streets down from the... [more]
