Leave your silver jewelry at home
Varna has numerous mineral springs and if you use one of the showers at the beach or go to the swimming pool in the Sea Park, you will notice that the water has distinct smell of sulphur. Be warned, sulphur and silver react when put together and your silver jewelry will turn black. There is a hard and tedious way to get it back to normal using baking soda, but I have never managed to master this technique. I lost two silver rings to the mineral water and when I decided to take my silver necklace off before standing under the shower, I lost it in the sand.
