Weimar
Weimar is a great German city, the city of the great poets Goethe and Schiller. On every corner of this town one finds some traces of their time – There are the houses of both poets, the summer house of Goethe, the graves of their relatives, a monument of both poets in the middle of one of the largest squares in the town in front of the theater and so on. Goetheshaus is a big yellow house in the very center of the town, so one can see that Goethe has never been a poor man, while Schiller’s house is much smaller although it is too in the center. Weimar also has a small but very nice castle with a high tower and a great market square with many beautiful facades around. [more] |
