Weinheim - Altstadt
It’s very pretty. Narrow, twisty streets with wooden beamed houses just like something out of a Grimm Brothers fairy tale. The ‘schmalste Haus’ is a novelty as it’s only a mere 2.1m wide but a wall mural (dedicated to St. Florian – Patron Saint of Fire Workers) painted on one house caught my eye. “St. Florian mit deiner Hand, schütz dieses Haus vor Blitz und Brand“ which literally translates to protect this house from fire and lighting but is locally understood to mean ...if a house does have to burn down, make sure it’s not mine!
