Skagway Town
Based on my experiences, arriving to Skagway in Alaska the best way is by a cruise ship. Arriving from the sea into the town’s nice harbour, surrounded by breathtaking mountains gives you a real great experience. Any time you would like to visit this place, make sure that you always have an extra pullover with you, well, as far as I know you cannot even reach that place from early autumn till late spring by a ship anyway since the cruise lines directing their ships to warmer destinations during that time.
