Denny's Restaurant
Denny's? M'kay, I'm not the biggest fan of them, but if I'm out late at night and it's a choice between just Waffle House and Denny's, I'll take Denny's any day because I'd rather not be running for the bathroom thanks to the greasiness of Waffle House.
Denny's food is alright, I suppose. They have quite a selection, I'll give them that, and my choice of burger from here would have to be the Jalapeno burger because it packs quite a punch and is very filling. Besides burgers, they offer sanwiches, melts, chicken strips, steaks (including T-Bones), shrimp, fish and chips, all sorts of breakfast foods and combinations (eg: T-Bone steak and eggs), omelettes and salads.
Not to mention, they've got some pretty interesting appetizers, such as smothered cheese fries, mini burgers (which are cool), nachos, mozzerella sticks, chicken strips, onion rings and buffalo wings.
Everyone's sure to be happy with at least one thing, making Denny's earn four stars.

Waffle House
Waffle House is a restaurant chain with over 1700 stores found in 25 states in the United States. Most of the locations are in the southern parts of the United States, where the chain remains a regional cultural icon.
Waffle House is characterized by usually a low-rent roadside cafe that claims to be the world's leading server of waffles (of course, hence the name), omelettes, hashbrowns (with or without cheese), T-Bone steaks, hamburgers, porkchops, grits, country ham, apple butter, raisin toast and Heinz Traditional Steak Sauce. And you know what? They just may be right.
I didn't come here very often, but the food is usually quite good and served up fresh and fast every time. Unfortunately, though, they tend to be a bit greasy in select locations, which usually has me running for the bathroom within an hour of just eating.
Overall, though, three stars, and that's just because of the food's greasiness and the fact that I'd be scared to death of using their restrooms.

Tia's Tex-Mex
Tia's Tex-Mex is a slightly more upperscale restaurant in comparison to the other local Tex-Mex and Mexican restaurants in the area. It's much larger, located between McCain Mall and the other local restaurants such as Carino's Italian Grill, Appplebee's, Shorty Small's and IHOP.
The food here is superb! They offer enchiladas, fajitas, quesadillas and more, not to mention that their cheese dip is absolutely the best in my opinion. It's sharp with a slight wang to it and you're given flour tortillas to dip, which is a nice variation in comparison to the regular chips, although you can get those here, too.
The staff here is usually very fast and dressed nicely in uniforms. They are always generally friendly, as well, especially with younger children. Five stars.

Dippin' Dots
If you've been looking for the ice cream of the future, you can find it here at McCain Mall's Dippin' Dots outlet.
Even though it's a relatively small outlet in comparison, located smack-dab in the middle of all the other eatery outlets, next to the escalator and stairs, it's popular, especially with kids.
And while ice cream is darned cold in your mouth, Dippin' Dots are freezing, making them relatively hard to eat fast, and unfortunately, they begin to melt rather quickly. I had ordered a small-sized cup and I wasn't even halfway though before I had only lukewarm chocolate liquid left.
The flavour of the Dippin' Dots is unique, meaning it's not bad, but it's not the same as regular ice cream. The Cookies & Cream is rather good, though. At $4.50 for a medium-sized cup (just 5 ounces), they're relatively expensive.
The only reason Dippin' Dots still gets 4 stars is because it's Kosher. Seriously.

McCain Mall's Bath & Body Works
While it is relatively small, it's very open and spacious in here. You can enter the store from two sides that are open to the rest of the mall, making the store seem bigger than it actually is. Hundreds of soaps, lotions and perfumes line the walls and sit in baskets on the tables of the open floor, making a great selection for everyone.
There are also plenty of lotions to "test" throughout the store, as well, and every once in a while, free sample bottles, packets and leaflets are given out as advertisement to those who walk in or pass by, which obviously draws in more customers, sometimes immediately, from what I've seen.
The staff here is more than friendly and eager to help you find what you need, whether it's for yourself, a friend or even your Grandmother. You can even have a gift basket made and can purchase gift cards for the picky gift receiver.
Not to mention, it smells great in here, too! 5 stars.

McCain Mall's Hot Topic
While I wouldn't consider myself anywhere near fitting into one of today's modern social classes such as punk or goth, I love this store every time I go into it. Just because you walk in here, that doesn't mean you've got to have a Mohawk or a nose ring, despite what so many teens may think. Believe it or not, this is a store for anyone, if you look past the blaring rock music, chains and the staff members' bright coloured hair.
The atmosphere here literally screams "rock," making it an ever-popular outlet. You can find some of the most unique clothing and jewelry, band t-shirts, accessories, shoes, blankets, makeup and even stuff for your car, such as floor mats, steering wheel covers and seat covers.
Don't expect frills unless you're into gothic lolita-styled corsets and as for hair colouring, expect nothing short of pink, blue, purple and other bright colours. Your favourite blanket here will have Invader Zim, a heartagram (HIM's logo), or Captain Jack Sparrow, not something you'd expect Grandma to sew for you. And as for anything "cute," expect to find it in the girls' section and for it to be so overly cute in a weird way that it'll make you want to squeal. Literally.
Overall, five stars, definitely.

Wendy's
Wendy's, while not on the top of my list of places to eat, isn't bad at all. In the rare case that I'm in the mood for a hamburger, I'd prefer their square patties over McDonald's any day. They're more juicy and always HOT, made just the way I like them. I've never had my order screwed up here. Five stars there.
As for cleanliness, four stars. The tables and floor are kept clean, as one of the staff members usually makes a run-through check of the tables every 5-15 minutes or so, which is, in my opinion, a very professional addition to a regular fast food restaurant. The bathrooms could be a little cleaner, at least as far as the woman's bathroom is being considered, since I've never accidentally walked into the men's bathroom, but I figure they could use a bit more cleaning up, as well.
Overall, though, if I could give them a 4.5, I would, but I'll give them a 4. Nicely done, I'll be sure to come back here if I come back to Arkansas for fast food.

Not quite what you'd expect
When you think of 'Arkansas,' what exactly pops up into your mind? A bunch of barefoot rednecks with moonshine and no teeth? Well, you're right, but that's only in some of the most rural wooded areas where just about no one treads foot.
But in the "city," things are different. In fact, it's quite nice. North Little Rock is chock-full of things to do, whether it's skating, attending festivals, going to see a movie or just annoying the crap out of the birds by the river, but rest assured, you won't be bored as long as you're looking for things to do. The people are also very friendly and are usually happy to recommend an attraction to you.
