During the year 2011, Amtrak, the American national train line, will begin to include Brunswick, Maine on the Downeaster run that provides passenger service between Boston, Massachusetts and Portland, Maine. Once the groundwork is completed, riders can travel from Boston to Brunswick, which will become the new northern terminus for this popular Northeastern route. Brunswick is located near Bowdoin College and several popular Maine beaches.
