Have You Ever Visited Prison?
Although it hasn’t housed inmates since the 1970’s, Eastern State Penitentiary has welcomed visitors since the 1990’s. This may not sound like the ideal vacation stop, but you will love it! Visiting this partial ruin and hearing the true stories of the inmates (including Al Capone and an incarcerated pooch named Pep) has become my favorite destination to visit in Philadelphia.
