Wyoming - impressive Devils Tower

Wyoming is one of my favorite states in the USA – mostly due to its loneliness and remote feeling when driving around.
After crossing South Dakota, entering Wyoming you will find the Devils Tower in the Black Hills region, in Crook County, nor far away from Sundance. This natural monument became perhaps most famous after Spielberg’s film “Close Encounters of the Third Kind”, about outer space aliens!
The tower is actually the neck of an ancient volcano – about 400 m high and as large as a football field on its top.
The sights of Devils Tower and its landscape are magnificent as you approach it. For several Native American tribes it has sacred meaning.
