When I was driving across the Black Hills, one night I was so tired that I just slept in the next near city. When I woke up in the back of my station wagon, I was directly in front of the library of Crook County. Funny, I said to myself – then I walk around and I was indeed in Sundance!!
The bank that Sundance Kid and Butch Cassidy robbed is still there as it seems – it was a small bank by the way. You will find other memorabilia around, related to these two train and bank gangsters.
Among the rituals of the Sioux you have the Sundance – where a man is pierced in the nipples and then suspends his body weight on a branch of a bent tree. As the shadow of the Sun dances around – the day passes, the man suffers and the warrior is born.
