Five Stars for a Four Star Hotel The Hyatt Regency Minneapolis is everything that you would expect a four star hotel to be and more. I was very impressed with the service from my arrival to my departure. Being greeted by polite and Uniformed Doormen opening the doors for you gives you a prelude of the service that is to be expected. The architecture and the décor of the lobby is welcoming and inviting, I almost felt as if I should have been wearing a mink coat to be allowed in such a grand establishment. Checking in was also a breeze and I loved the fact that there are machines there to assist in the checking in or out process , in the event that there is a line at the reception desk. The Guest attendant Clerk was pleasant, polite and informative. I was immediately handed a program for the seminar that I was there to attend as well as my keys and information on the seminar that I was there to attend. The room was clean and spacious, I was fortunate to have a wonderful view of the city and its grand architecture. There was a work desk and access to WIFI so it is perfect for business visitors or those who need to stay in touch. It would have been nice to have a mini refrigerator but besides that I was completely satisfied. The Hotel had excellent restaurants and bars for socializing. The overhead walkway from the 1st floor was really great. You could walk to other hotels and see the beauty of the city without having to be outside in the cold. I found this very handy especially when it was raining and I had to get to a seminar at the nearby Hilton Hotel. Overall it was a great value for the price. I would most definitely visit again.
