Holiday Inn, Osoyoos
Okay, I`m sure it would have been a better trip had it been the summer and was hot, but I stayed at this hotel just a few weeks ago in the dead of winter so my son could play in a ice hockey tournament. (They came in third, by the way.) The rooms are clean and spacious with a small table to sit at. The tv allowed my son to hook up his Xbox 360 which is all he cared about. The only thing I didn`t like about the room was that the bathroom sink was in the main room, not in the bathroom itself. My husband loved this as he`s always thought this is the way to go, very convenient. I dislike this set up because if you go to the washroom, then you have to come out and then wash your hands, whatever, but I still don`t like it. There was a microwave & small fridge in the room which was a bonus. The underground parking always took a few swipes of the card before it would cooperate but worked none the less. The Holiday Inn Osoyoos has a nice pool and jacuzzi. The hotel is located right on the beach and has facilities for renting jet skiis or boats during the summer. They have kids rooms with bunk beds available. They also have a unique park like area (with horse shoe pits) that juts out into the lake. It`s a great location - just a short walk across the bridge and you`re downtown Osoyoos. Overall, I think it`s a great value in a great spot, especially for a hot summer`s day or weekend getaway.
