Sunset at Veranda Lounge at Casa del Mar
Located right along Ocean Way in Santa Monica, Casa del Mar presents an oasis of relaxed luxury for locals as well as visitors. But you don’t have to spend a fortune to enjoy all the hotel has to offer. If you get there around 5 pm on weekdays, you’re sure to get a seat at one of the small tables at Veranda Lounge. Through big French windows, you can gaze at sprawling Santa Monica beach while sampling from a selection of small plates from the light menu (under $20 dollars.) My two favorites are the beef burger with aged cheddar and avocado and the assorted cheese and cured meat platter. [more] |
