The Conversatory, The Lanesborough
The Conservatory at the Lanesborough is truly an elegant restaurant, airy and bright with a beautiful glass roof, palm trees and live piano music in the background. I had a three course dinner there during my stay at the hotel last year. It’s nothing I will forget in the first place. I was more than happy with the food and the service. I was served bread with tomato salsa and a courgette soup, a terrific main course of lemon ricotta gnocchi’s, asparagus, rocket, and parmesan, and a delicious dessert. If I can afford it, I will definitely return. [more] |

The Lanesborough, Knightsbridge
The Lanesborough at Hyde Park Corner is without doubt the best five star traditional hotel I have stayed at. With a 24-hour private butler service I almost felt like royalty. I loved my elegant suite, especially the luxurious bathroom, the complimentary magazines, the work desk and the flatscreen tv. If you’re a movie buff like me I’m sure you will enjoy the video library. I’d say The Lanesborough is London’s best business hotel because they offer free WIFI high speed internet, free unlimited international calls and custom-made business cards. Some rooms have a beautiful view over Hyde Park. [more] |

The Lanesborough (hotel)
Right in the center of Hyde Park Corner, directly opposite Hyde Park, lies the Lanesborough's white stucco building which for 150 years was one of London's best known hospitals, the St. George, before becoming a hotel in 1992. An impressive and richly decorated building, the Lanesborough boasts early 18th century-style-furniture, along with every possible technological requirement. The Conservatory, the restaurant, is decorated in a Chinese kitsch style and offers sophisticated international cuisine in a relaxed environment for breakfast, lunch or tea. Even if you cannot afford to stay in this unbelievably luxorious hotel, it is definitely worth taking a look at it. [more] |
