No Holiday at Heidelberg's Holiday Inn
While I do not usually expect high value from Holiday Inn, this establishment was particularly disappointing. The hotel is not really close to anything and is probably only useful for those travelers who need only a place to sleep. The breakfast costs 15 euros and is not worth 5 euros. The exercise facilities were atrocious and smelled as if they had not been cleaned for a very long time. In addition, only one of the three machines was fully functioning. The hotel’s only redeeming value was proximity to a gas station—right next door--a local bakery around the corner, and a Chinese restaurant a few blocks away. Save yourself the 115 euros a night unless it is your only option! [more] |
