Oaks, North Quay, Brisbane I only had one night in the city of Brisbane during my last visit to Australia before moving to Surfer’s Paradise, so I decided to choose a place with a good view over the city and with good facilities. Oaks North Quay, which actually used to be called “Quest on North Quay” is the place I chose to stay at. I opted for a studio apartment, which was really quite comfortable. The location was excellent and the hotel is indeed on the North Quay giving great views of the river and of the cityscape on the other side. Brisbane looks more and more like a mini Hong Kong every time I go and so it is quite a treat to wake up with these views. The studio was a budget option and all facilities were excellent including a good sized pool. They actually have larger 1 and 2 bedroom suites too, but these would obviously be more suitable for a family. On my next trip I will likely make use of the hotel again.
