Attractions of the hotel
The hotel has a shopping mall "Galleria" but it is not that great actually.
The hotel has Two major attractions; the "Hard Rock Cafe" the only one in Cairo actually.
The other major attraction the hotel is offering is the "Revolving Restaurant" overlooking Cairo from the 41st floor taking about 75 minutes for the turn to complete, don't expect much from the food of the restaurant but really you will be too busy watching Cairo to even notice it.
The nearest cairene attraction is the Egyptian Museum and the Downtown area which are about 20 minutes walking and 40 minutes by car!! [more]
A Room with a view !!
The first thing you notice once you walk into the luxurious Grand Hyatt Cairo is the spectacular view of the Nile, if you are going to the restaurant, the gym or to even to the bar you enjoy the hotel's view.
The hotel is on the tip of the Manial island so the view extends in three directions
The lobby of the hotel is very big with a 2 floor window overlooking the Nile.
The hotel has a very good auditorium which has been quite famous among Egyptians lately only competed by the luxurious Four Seasons Hotel. A lot of weddings take place in this 800 person auditorium so chances are you will get to see the "Zaffah" which is the big entrance of the Egyptian bride and groom with local singing and a belly dancer of course.
