This hotel is situated 10mins walk up the hill from the town centre and beach and a couple of minutes from the BIC. It is an old building (so it only has one small lift) but downstairs and the bedrooms have been modernised, with the restaurant and cafe having a stylish black and red decor and a view over the town. A big bonus of this hotel is that there is on-site parking available.
It has a small gym (with machines and some weights) a small pool, a jacuzzi and sauna in the basement. You can get towels from reception and a locker for a deposit of £5.
There is a good cafe with outside seating area which offers hot and cold drinks, snacks and sandwiches. There is free wi-fi in the cafe/bar area. The hotel also offers room service.
There is dinner in the restaurant and I would recommend the Sunday lunch which was excellent. It is a 3-course meal (with a choice of about 3 dishes) for £10.95 for hotel residents. Definitely worth treating yourself.
Breakfast consists of cereals, fruit, toast and full english and is served until 9.45am. Dinner is also available in the hotel.
The rooms are ensuite and have a TV, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. the only problem we had was the heated towel rail was too hot and we couldn't control the temperature of it.
The Trouville Lodge is next to the Trouville Hotel and is an extension of it. [more ]
